Dear Friends, Residents, Supporters & Shareholders
Bretforton Community Shop’s Grand Opening – Saturday 13 December, 10am
Please come and join us to celebrate the official opening of Bretforton Community Shop at our Grand Opening on Saturday 13 December, 10am.
Enjoy a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie while the store is officially opened by 98 year-old Bretforton resident Mrs Byrd, together with fashion designer and retailer George Davies, well known as the man behind NEXT, George at ASDA and Per Una for Marks and Spencer.
There will be plenty of entertainment, starting with the ringing of the Church bells, followed by music and even Father Christmas himself will be calling in with a little treat for children there on the day.
You’ll have the opportunity to take a look around the shop if you haven’t already, and shareholders will be able to sign our “Founder Members Board” and collect their discount vouchers to spend in the Shop.
Do come along to what we hope will be a memorable village event.

Bretforton Community Shop is Your Shop – Please Give Us Your Feedback
We’re keen to hear your views. Bretforton Community Shop is your shop, so please give us your feedback – what you like, don’t like, suggestions for improvement, products you’d like to see us stock etc. etc.
Please bear with us though during the opening few weeks. We know there will be teething problems along the way, and would like to thank you in advance for your patience.
And do please support the shop if you can. We hope we’ve provided you with an affordable and convenient option for shopping when you need it. I’m sure you, like us, have missed having a shop in the village, so please try and visit when you can.
Where We Are
You’ll find us on the car park of Bretforton Community Social Club (formerly The Legion). There’s access from the main road through the village, Main Street (by foot) and there’s plenty of parking.
A Massive Thank You to our Wonderful Volunteers
We’d like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful band of volunteers without whom we wouldn’t be able to operate. Thank you – we think you’re brilliant! We really appreciate all your hard work and hope that you’re having fun and enjoying working in the Shop. A number of you tell us that you are!
If you’d like to join our growing team now that we’re open, please let us know. Just drop into the Shop, email us at info@bretshop.org, or call us on 01386 833616.
We have some great volunteers, but we could do with more so we can be open as much as possible – and so we can extend our opening hours in the evening. We’d even like to hear from people who’d just be willing to come into the shop, have a cup of coffee and keep our shop manager or volunteers company, so we never have any time when anyone is on their own. How easy could that be? If this could be you, please let us know.
Thank you very much for your help and support.

Until then, kind regards,
Bretforton Community Shop
